Wildcat baseball starts on Friday, 2/17 with our varsity team playing host to the Adairsville Tigers at 5:30. The Woodland varsity team will then host a triple-header with Northview and Fayette County on Saturday, 2/25. WHS will play at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. The varsity Wildcats will be on the road to Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday, 2/28.
JV ...
The JV Wildcats will host the Adairsville Tigers for their first home game on Tuesday, 2/21 at 5:30 and then will be at home again when they play North Paulding on Friday, 2/24 for a double-header at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
The Woodland Wildcat Baseball Scholarship has been created through the Etowah Scholarship Foundation. Any senior Wildcat baseball player is eligible for this $1,000 scholarship, and if interested needs to apply through the Etowah Scholarship Foundation. To be eligible for this scholarship you have to have filled out the FAFSA financial aid papers and have a SAR number. If you are or have a senior who is going to college to play baseball or not they should apply for this scholarship. The recipient will be chosen by the Etowah Scholarship Foundation. This is free money, and having played baseball at WHS as a senior you have met the requirements. They have started accepting applications so go ahead and apply today.

Preparing for College............
All Juniors should plan to take the SAT or ACT once by the end of the year. All Seniors should have taken it once already and should plan to take it again in the fall and one more time (if needed) in the spring. The SAT and ACT can be taken as many times as possible. It is encouraged to take both tests because some students do better on one than the other.
